Taster is an online digital marketing service which allows users to view visual representations of menus in their area. I founded Taster and have the developed the business over the summer months. I am now a finalist in the Cork Digital Marketing Awards for my efforts.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Creating the website.

  • Market Research – Primary and Secondary

  • Cold calling potential customers ‘restaurants’ to get them on board

  • Writing and sending press releases

  • Organising a press launch night

  • Managing social media to create brand awareness

  • Designing an ‘award winning’ business plan

  • Designing contracts to protect the service provided

  • Received €4,000 seed funding from the Rubicon Centre

  • Achieved a place in the Student Inc. programme

  • Won best business plan in the Student Inc. programme
